Medico Legal Work

Legal BooksMedico-legal work is an assessment or report prepared in the context of actual or potential civil litigation.

Detailed assessments are provided for those people suffering from trauma, for example road traffic accidents (RTAs).

Up to date assessment tools as set out by Scott and Sembi (2002). Where a recommendation, in medico-legal matters, is that assessment for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) should follow a three-stage process:

  • Unstructured interview
  • Structured interview
  • Psychometric assessment

Treatment for Trauma
We also take referrals from solicitors and insurance companies for therapeutic treatment for clients suffering from trauma. Therapies used are Eye Movement desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT).
